O Allah is it too late?

Has the punishment already come?

“SubhanAllah! Mum, what’s happening?! Why are the walls shaking?” I muttered. I was 14, in my bed and the walls around me were shaking, so much so that the cupboard had moved forward in the midst of the shakes. I looked with fear in my eyes at my younger sister and I held her tight… Has the Day of Judgement come? I whimpered, scared at my own fate.

Suddenly, the shaking stopped and normality was restored. I felt my heartbeat and the fear engulf me… Who would have thought an earthquake would hit my town? The news reporters were amazed, yet anyone who believed in Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) knew that His power encompasses us when He wills.

Then a time comes when you move past this and you forget about such occurrences and Allah blesses you with more life, His Power and Might takes you in a new direction of life, hopefully in a life that is preparing you for the Hereafter. When you’re moving forward with your purpose of life, or you aim to excel, you need to remember that you have been chosen.

Take time out to answer the questions below with a minimum of 3 answers and learn about yourself and where you really want to go.

[dropcap2]1[/dropcap2]You have to reach for the highest – You have to… As so many people could have been chosen to be part of the da’wah, but Allah chose you!

  • What does that tell you?
  • Contemplate that Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) has chosen you to be part of this da’wah and He knows that you’re capable of it. Everything Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) does is calculated, hence nothing is by accident.

[dropcap2]2[/dropcap2]This is the legacy of our people – The companions died to keep this legacy going. Are we being asked to fight? No we’re not… They died for us and we need to respect that, we need to be ready to step up for this religion, like they stepped up for this Deen!

  • Are you ready for the fight?
  • Are you ready to go that one step forward to excel as a Muslim?

[dropcap2]3[/dropcap2]Jannah is our goal – And how can we attain Jannah if we know we can do better, yet we still don’t? If we know we have issues and we don’t acknowledge them and do something about them? How many times have you been advised to do something and inside your head you think — but I don’t do that and you justify not doing your best? You can justify your actions, or you can rectify your actions… Don’t be of those who are a lost cause! Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) knows you’re not, we know you’re not, the issue comes whether you believe you are or not…

  • Do you believe you’re worthy of Jannah?
  • Do your actions reflect whether you are worthy of Jannah?

[dropcap2]4[/dropcap2]“I manufactured you for Me!” — Allah made you for Him, you are His… He loves you. It hurts Him when you don’t give Him His due right, when you don’t step up to a level of excellence. We see a child hitting his mother and our blood boils, yet every day we disobey our Lord and we get used to it… I repeat… He manufactured you for Him.

  • Is He not worthy of our love?
  • Do you really love Him more than yourself? If so, do your actions represent this?

[dropcap2]5[/dropcap2]We’re furnishing Allah’s house on earth — He will never destroy His house! –We’re all involved with something, whether it’s your family, the ISOC/MSA, the Masjid or an Islamic organisation and you may give it so much time, will Allah destroy it? No, He won’t! Allah will never let us down, He just wants us to take action… He’s just waiting for us to step up, to become better…

  • Are you ready to take action?
  • Are you prepared to look at yourself and just move forward and improve?

[dropcap2]6[/dropcap2]Our sins are what cause us pain – Let us not hide behind our masks, I know and you know that we all have issues, and this is something that harms us beyond measure. It’s not about being sinless… Rather it’s about sinning less and making an effort to do so. It is not the one who sins less that is loved, rather the one that sins and the fear causes him to turn back to his Lord. Allah is waiting for us to come back to Him…

  • Are you ready to repent?
  • Are you ready to turn back to Allah today, as you know you can do better?

[dropcap2]7[/dropcap2]O Allah is it too late? Has the punishment already come? — Imagine if today an earthquake hit your city and your walls are breaking, the cracks appear and you haven’t done enough… How would you feel? — “Has the punishment already come?” And then suddenly it stops and you’re safe… You think back and Alhamdulillah you’re still alive. The thing is, the day of judgement is real and it will come — you don’t ever want to be in a position where you say; O Allah am I too late? Has the punishment already come?

  • What action are you going to take to prepare for your hereafter?
  • What is the one talent you can cultivate to achieve Jannah?

[dropcap2]8[/dropcap2]Today a righteous man/woman has died – A Rajul as Salih/a — When you pass away, what will the people say? No really, what do you think they will say? What will your friends say? You need to set yourself up in such a manner that people from all over the UK will travel JUST for your janazaa! Or think big, from all over the world! :inshaAllah: You’ve made such an impact that thousands, if not millions of people will ask for your forgiveness. Does Islam tell us to play small? NO!

We’re here for a mission and Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) is waiting for us to play it big! Islam is not about living and passing away alone; Islam is about leaving this duniya with an impact!

  • What impact do you want to make?
  • How do you want to be known when you pass away?

Think about it… You see…

Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) never speaks! Rather, He is watching you… He is patiently waiting for you to get past your stages… He is waiting for you to finally step up! Note, His speech is the Qur’an and this is enough guidance for us to live by. It’s up to us, whether we embrace it or not…

Bismillah to another day - to show Allah how much you love Him!
