Are you willing to be a Superstar?

Recently, in Bangladesh, there’s been a lot of hype regarding Superstar contests. However, it was full of commodicizing women, as you may have perceived. I realised these people were using the word ‘Superstar’ in a wrong context. ‘Superstars’ are meant to be people who live a life to their potential, and use it to reach the Highest aim, the pleasure of Allaah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He). Those who create a positive impact in the society and leave behind a pious and righteous legacy. Superstars are not meant to boast about blessings that Allah gave them, namely beauty, wealth and intellect and use them in the way that Allah is displeased with. Certainly, they are not the Superstars.

So, in an endeavor to bring in the Real Superstars on spotlight and helping you to reach their status, I along with Alima Ashfaq planned to launch this series ‘How to be a Superstar in 7 months’. Alhamdulillah, it’s launched, and mashaAllah we are rolling =)

Alhamdulillah we completed our first session of the series, ‘Take a Break’, covering the wonderful topic of Returning back to Allaah, aka Tawbah.

The room was already full, our handouts ready, the candies in everyone’s hand and the pink satin on the table added just the right flavor to the amazing topic being addressed in hand. It was the beginning of the series, and we were waiting for the sisters to register. MashaAllah, TabarakAllah, we had all of the sisters in the venue register for the series after we had finished delivering the first session.

Alhamdulillah, indeed All Praises and Thanks belong to our Lord.

Now it’s time for our second session in the series, and personally I am extremely excited about it. It’s my favourite topic, the topic that takes you closer to your Lord, the topic of knowing Who Allah is and Who He isn’t. It is ‘The Great Return’ – Learning to live under the light of Allah’s Names and Attributes.

We hope inshaAllah this will be a great turnout and a session full of chilling and benefit. Our registrations are almost closed with 10 more seats left. So, if any of you are living in Chittagong, Bangladesh, drop us an email info [at] iamalima [dot] org onfirming your seat. You will be confirmed on a first come first serve basis.

For all those, who missed out on registration, this is to get you envious =) Our schedule for the rest of the series is given below. Enjoy like you have never enjoyed before!
