Are you ready to have the 10 best days eva?

I gazed at you with my sight. In awe of your beauty I continued to glare. I watched you from afar, hoping you would be mine.

Ah, a dream it seemed, surely it wasn’t so hard to be a team? I slowly tread in your path. One step at a time. The desire to benefit from you was alive. If only, I’d run for the opportunity, as you, a beautiful creation wish to embrace me.

You are the best 10 days of the year, you are the *Crème de la Crème!*

I see you pass me by every year, and as a sinful slave, I know it’s another chance to turn back to the Divine, Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He). Is it worth the struggle? Is it worth my time? Most either don’t understand the might of these days, or they’re too lazy to go the extra way. This year, 2012, it has to be different for you and I. Insha Allah.

So what makes them so wow?! Let’s see what the Messenger of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said about these mighty days.

“There are no deeds as excellent as those done in these ten days.” They (the companions listening) said, “Not even Jihad?” He, peace be upon him, said, “No, not even Jihad except a man who goes forth endangering his life and wealth and does not return with anything.” [1. Recorded by Imam al-Bukhari]

There are certain actions we undertake due to their reward, even though fear engulfs us. However, the Messenger of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) is sending a powerful message to us; these days are the Crème de la Crème. Really, they are something special. Stop. Listen up. Internalise this hadeeth. These ten days are unbelievable. Are you ready to allow this opportunity to pass? Convinced? Wait, let’s see what the Creator of these mighty days says.

Allah says in the Qur’an: “By the dawn and by the ten nights … ” [2. Al-Qur’an 89:1-2] Ibn Kathir said that “the ten nights” referred to here are the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, and this opinion was also held by Ibn Abbas, Ibn az-Zubair, Mujahid and others.

In this ayat, Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) swears by these ten days, and when Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) swears by something you know it’s important, in fact its honour and worth is irreplaceable. For example, within the Arab culture it’s very common to swear by Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) on a regular basis. I remember waiting for someone and a young Arab brother walked past, with an array of swear words, the term wAllahi was used consistently. It’s so engrained in their minds, for them it’s so important, that even its misuse has become apparent, unfortunately.

Then you have the Pakistani community who value the Qur’an so much, that even some section of the community neglect its recitation and contemplation, but from a young age they will teach their children to swear by the Qur’an to prove their innocence. You know what I’m talking about!

This leads me on to a beautiful statement of the Messenger of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) who said: “There are no other days that are as great as these in the sight of Allah, the Most Sublime. Nor are there any deeds more beloved to Allah then those that are done in these ten days. So increase in tahlil (to say la illaha illallah), takbir (to say allahu akbar) and tahmid (to say alhumdulillah).” [3. Reported by at-Tabarani in al-Mu’jum al-Kabir]

I remember it was my sister’s graduation and we decided to delay her present, on that day she came to me tearful and showed dissatisfaction in her perceived thoughts. I understood wholeheartedly why this time was special for her, and giving her reassurance that we loved her on this day was important to her. Similarly, Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) has ordained which days are most beloved to Him, surely it should be a pleasure to please our Creator, Al-Wadud when He loves to be pleased? Truly, it is an honour.

These days are special. They are potentially life changing. They are an easy way to gain reward and return from our distant states.
Hence, we have put together an opportunity for you to make use of their might. Join us for a two day online seminar to truly appreciate these days for their really worth.
