‘Al-Wakeel’ by Yasmin Mogahed

In life have you ever desired something? As you waited, hoping it would come into play, you wait and wait, dreaming every day it would take place. You go one step further. You do what you can, you make du’a, you even do istikharah, however it still doesn’t go your way. Where did it go wrong? Why do you have to feel this pain?

Sister Yasmin shares with us the Attribute of Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) Al-Wakeel, our Ultimate Trustee, a clip from Mesmerised. The One whom is our Trustee in the times we feel so let down.

When things don’t go as we planned, this is the test. It’s at this moment when Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) wants us to turn to Him in entirety, as the goal and not the means. He wants us to leave all our affairs to Him.

“[He is] the Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him, so take Him as Disposer of [your] affairs.” [1. Qur’an, 73:9]

Then Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) makes us a beautiful promise. He subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) reminds us, regardless of what happens in life, if we turn to Him, trust Him, then He will be enough for us, and everything will be okay.

“…And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him.” [2. Qur’an, 65:3]

We won’t feel the sadness, the pain won’t tear us up inside. He is enough for us.

    Asalamu alaykum SubhanaAllah! beautiful MashaAllah.
I would like to say just a small question: the nasheed in the videos is sometimes above the voice of the speaker so I found difficult to understand it…
    Jazaaki allahu khairan :)
